Beach House
Working closely with the owners and a talented local designer on this exquisite new home on the south shore, Island Trading helped craft the look and feel of the extensive outdoor areas of Beach House. The challenge was to make each vignette look and feel different, but for the spaces to flow harmoniously. We selected complementary items from five of our favourite brands – Kingsley Bate, Gloster, Dedon, Ebel and Skyline – to add variation, but kept the colour pallet the same – neutral with pops of turquoise to echo the ocean.
Coral Beach & Tennis Club
When Island Trading was first approached by the Club to specify outdoor furniture, their requirements were a challenge:- the furniture had to be comfortable for their guests, practical to maintain and truly durable against extensive use! 5 years on and after daily usage, the Club is still so pleased with the quality and durability and they continue to add to the collection each year. Their plans for 2020 include additional beach furniture for guests to relax and dine on!
Private Customer Home
When this new home was completed in 2019, we knew we were in for a treat. The overseas designers had a vision that was both aesthetically pleasing and ingeniously practical – with the home’s elevated exposure, the outdoor furniture had to be open and airy to allow wind to travel through it. The client’s sophisticated, contemporary tastes guided us to Dedon, Gloster, Barlow Tyrie and Tuuci for the many outdoor spaces.
Westwaters
There isn’t a more unique location that Westwaters, but creating the right lounging area in the shallow beach area of a pool was no easy task! Not least because of the harsh exposure to constant pool water and ocean spray. We selected umbrellas and furniture from premium brands Tuuci and Brown Jordan because of the high quality materials (aluminum and marine grade stainless steel), longevity and ease of maintenance!
The Reefs Resort
& Club
Island Trading was delighted to be given the opportunity to specify outdoor furniture for The Reefs and we were eager to prove to the owners that we could specify good looking outdoor furniture which was robust enough to be left out 365 days a year AND be competitively priced. Not only did we meet the owners’ expectations, but guests have been wowed by the comfort of their pool, beach and room furniture.
